Welcome to SelfOps. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how your information is collected, used, and disclosed by SelfOps.

1. Data Ownership & Storage

SelfOps is a "Local-First" application. This means:

• All your data (events, mood logs, reflections) is stored locally on your device using SQLite/device storage.
• We do not have a central server to store, view, or sell your personal data.
• You have full ownership of your data.

2. Information Collection

Since the app operates locally, we generally do not collect personally identifiable information (PII). However, the app may use third-party services that collect information used to identify you:

• Google Play Services: For app distribution and core functionality.
• Log Data: In case of an error, the app may collect data (via third-party products like Firebase Crashlytics) such as your device IP address, device name, operating system version, and the time of the error to help us fix bugs.

3. Permissions

The app requires the following permissions to function:

• Notifications: To send you daily reminders for journaling. These are scheduled locally on your device.
• Storage/File Access: To allow you to Export (Backup) and Import (Restore) your data JSON files.

4. Algorithmic Analysis (Smart Features)

The application includes features that provide insights, such as correlation analysis and weekly summaries. Regarding these features:

• On-Device Processing: All calculations are performed directly on your device using internal algorithms.
• No External Transfer: Your personal data is NOT sent to any external AI servers, machine learning APIs, or third-party analysis platforms.

5. Data Backup & Deletion

• Manual Backup: You can export your data to a JSON file. This file is saved to your device's shared storage (e.g., Downloads folder). You are responsible for keeping this file safe.
• App Data Deletion: You can wipe all data inside the app using the "Reset All Data" button in Settings. Uninstalling the app will also remove the internal database.
• External Files: Uninstalling the app does NOT automatically delete the JSON backup files you have previously exported to your device's storage. You must delete these files manually if you wish to remove them.

6. Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. Since we do not collect user data on our servers, we do not hold data of children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes.
